Even though say you don't care, you did take the time to write and express your opinion rather than just ignoring it and moving on, so that counts for something. While Obama's absence was not unprecedented, in recent years it has been a common practice to attend. Obama's three predecessors - George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George H.W. Bush - each made it to the Jamboree in person while in office. First Lady Nancy Reagan addressed the Jamboree in 1985. (Pres. Reagan had to bow out because he was recuperating from cancer surgery.) Sometimes they would cancel their appearance because of bad weather. The point is, there are many things Obama could have been doing during this time that are of as high or higher importance than attending the Boy Scout event, but The View? It's just a bunch of ladies gossiping jibberish! Besides, the View is on every day, but there will only be one 100th Jamboree. So it just tends to show where his priorities lie. The President is the honorary leader of the BSA after all, and the event was conveniently located right in his backyard. Many of those scouts will grow up to be future leaders and many of them are coming into their voting years! (BTW, did you know Obama is the first President since FDR not to have a direct connection to Scouting, either as a scout in their youth or an adult volunteer? Interesting...)

Real the “Boy scouts Jamboree”, real? Are you saying he disrespect our boys in uniform?, please. Or is he more focused on speaking to adults (The View) about what he is doing to repair our nation (those boys can’t vote, you know). And so you know (or take a look yourself) Twelve other presidents have skipped the Jamboree, including Ronald Reagan (he missed all of them), Gerald Ford, Richard Nixon and yes even Dwight D. Eisenhower, among others, so, honestly, who cares, I don’t.

You're right, the more people who get the message, the better. Spreading the word among many places makes it that much harder to ignore.

Well, I really don't know what people in other countries see in the UN CRC, but what I see is a global Big Brother regime growing right under everyone's noses. Why should the UN have any say as to what goes on in our borders and/or in our homes anyway? America declared its independence over 200 years ago. Sadly, the fact that someone actually had to propose such an amendment to re-affirm parental rights in the first place shows how far we have already fallen here in America. The government is taking so many liberties not granted through our Constitution that we are left with no choice but to create bills and amendments to counteract them. It's probably not the route we'd normally want to take; however, I feel it is one we must take. There is a line drawn in the sand for us here in America between the inalienable rights granted to us by our Creator, and "rights" given by the State. Without a strong foundation of God-given rights, the State can do anything to usurp the rights of parents as head of the family. So it may seem as if this is an unnecessary amendment to the Constitution, but it is based on the over-reaching of the government. I would hate for our great free republic to become a nation where the government assumes the role of parents and supersedes the rights of parents, stipulating how they can bring up their children. It's already happening in Europe where homeschooled children are being taken away from their parents for no good reason. That's not civilized; it's barbaric.

What is it that the Welch and dozens of other countries in the civilized world see in the UN CRC that you don't?

The parental rights amendment stands no possible chance of becoming part of our constitution. Michael Farris notwithstanding to the contrary.

All the money pouring into his hands is simply providing a fat bankroll for Washington attorneys and lobbyists. Don't con more people into sending him their hard earned cash.

Do you believe the Constitution is the rule of law? Do you believe in the original intent of our founding fathers? Do you want to reform Congress? If your answer is yes, we have to work together to make this happen.

Christians & "Hate" Bills

If "hate bill"-obsessed Congress [and Obama] can't protect Christians from "gays" as much as it wants to protect "gays" from Christians, will Congress be surprised if it can't protect itself from most everyone? If "hate bills" are forced on captive Americans, they'll still find ways to sneakily continue to "plant" Biblical messages everywhere. By doing so they'll hasten God's judgment on their oppressors as revealed in Proverbs 19:1. (See related web items including "David Letterman's Hate, Etc.," "Separation of Raunch and State," "Michael the Narc-Angel," "Obama Avoids Bible Verses," and "Tribulation Index becomes Rapture Index.") Since Congress can't seem to legislate "morality," it's making up for it by legislating "immorality"!

(Please pray for our longtime "underground" web ministry!)
